Being Human Being

[References are provided since you may need some background to get this post.]

Your being as a human being is under question when you are in an arbitrary room communicating with the outside world using only a typewriter machine (1).

Your "understanding" is under question when you (a non-Chinese) are in a Chinese room (2).

An elephant's being an elephant is under question when it is being touched in Rumi's dark room (3).

God and Computer Science - For Evolutionists

[previous: God and Computer Science - For Abrahamic believers]

Teaching Evolution

Even if you think you already know what evolution is about, click on the photo to review it with Mrs. Garrison:

(South park, Season 10, episode "Go, God Go-1")

When I was a kid I used to think that communists do not believe in God; instead they say that nature creates itself, so Nature is their God! As a result, I used to think Russians worship flowers and trees!

You see, if we don't teach these stuff in the schools, our kids have to learn it somewhere else from each other and it may make them this confused!!!
-------------------

When I became older, I was told that the theory of evolution's already been disproven by (?) Motahhari,: "Our grandpa is Adam! Let Darwin be the offspring of a monkey if he wants to."(1)

(Charles Darwin as an ape, 1871, Hornet magazine)
Evolution
Each generation gets some features of its parents and adds some changes (mutations) to it. Fitted offspring s have a better chance to survive. Over many generations new species appear.

Genetic Algorithms
Genetic algorithms are a class of heuristic search algorithms try to find solutions to the optimization problems. Each generation is called a population. The very first population is called "seed".
Pseudo-code of a genetic algorithm:
  1. Choose initial population
  2. Evaluate the fitness of each individual in the population
  3. Repeat until termination
    1. Select best-ranking individuals to reproduce (2)
    2. Breed new generation through crossover and mutation and give birth to offspring
    3. Evaluate the individual fitnesses of the offspring
    4. Replace worst ranked part of population with offspring

I think Nazis were just accelerating stage 3.1 of the algorithm (natural selection) by their "life unworthy of life" designation. Also, this picture illustrates fitness function evaluation in 3.3 in an unnatural way.

---------------------

The complexity of general problem of creation is still NP-complete. However, an evolutionist believes our world is not perfect yet. Of course, it is very "close to optimal" but is "not optimal" as long as mutations make mistakes like the case I called it God's injustice here.

God and Computer Science - For Abrahamic believers

An introduction to the theory of complexity

  • P: The class of problems that are solvable with limited time and power.
  • NP-Hard: The class of problems that need unlimited time or power to be solved.
  • NP: The class of problems that given an instance of their solution can be verified in limited time.
  • NP-complete: The class of problems that are in NP-Hard class and also are in NP.

Complexity of creation

  • Making artificial things is a P-problem.
  • God's creation of nature, which cannot be done with limited power of man but is scientifically understandable, is an NP-Complete problem.
  • ... and miracles are not in NP!!!

The big question
How God's creation machine works(1)?

- In the beginning there was God and there was nothing. Then at the time we usually call it the Big Bang, he created an NP-solver machine.
Since then, "he just says "be" and it exists" (2). Just a simple reduction, makes creation of nothing more difficult than creation of something else!
For the same reason P /= NP, He is greater than what man can describe.

Believers and nonbelievers
Agnostics: P /=NP xor P=NP
Atheists: P = NP
Theists: P /= NP

So far, mathematician are agnostic to the problem of P==NP, but the Clay Mathematics Institute is offering a $1 million US prize to the first proof to that. I doubt theologists are this passionate for finding a definite answer to the problem of existence of God. Or, maybe that think they have already found it?

P~NP
Genetic Engineering is an approximation to the creation.

On Inequality and Descrimination

All people are different ...

but some people are more different than others.

Q- While even God is not fair, why should we?
A- To show we are not following him.

False Positive

A: Doctors say I'm dying in 6 months.
B: Don't worry, 30 years ago they told my uncle he would die in 3 months and he is still alive.
A: hmm.. but "unfortunately" Medicine has progressed so much in these 30 years.

New "Year"

"356/366 days", "12 months" and "the duration Earth orbits Sun" may seem equal, but they make "Gregorian Calendar", "Lunar Calendar" and "Persian Calendar", when we use the m as the DEFINITION of a Year.

1) "Among solar calendars in wide use today, the Persian calendar is one of the most precise." source: Wikipedia

2) It is in complete harmony with seasons.

3) and 99.99% free of conventions.

4) Among all, only Persian calendar has the potential to be used by people living on other planets!
