Needless to say, animals are not.

Your being as a human being is under question when you are in an arbitrary room communicating with the outside world using only a typewriter machine (1).




Your "understanding" is under question when you (a non-Chinese) are in a Chinese room (2).




An elephant's being an elephant is under question when it is being touched in Rumi's dark room (3).

Being Romantic

when you work with numbers it is mostly about: "0", "1" and "greater than one" cases.
0, 1, ..., N, ..


but when it comes to people, it would be about "1", "2" and "some".


I suppose, being romantic is to make yourself understand, to understand, and/or to act like you understand that
"2" and "some" are no longer in the same category.
